These are my reference images that I gathered from online. My main idea is to either use each image to represent its respective element individually or to combine all three into a fight setting using a boxing ring image via photoshop. I will most likely go with the latter because I am a big fan of photomanipulation and I feel that it will provide more of a challenge for me. I also feel like the latter option will create an overall better final product. I wanted to go with realistic images over graphic designs and hands because I wanted to go for a more intense, less cartoonish look in my poster, and I feel like that can only be accomplished by using realistic images. I will most likely end up adding some wear and tear on each of the objects by adding different textures to them to simulate the look of "battle scars".

Looking at your thumbnail sketches I really like how different most of them are. By this I mean that they aren't just the traditional set up, most are different and things I personally would never have thought to do. like numbers 8 and 10. I think it might be a little harder to design in photoshop but if you could pull it off it will really look great.
ReplyDeleteI like the look and flow of the diagonal header. It has a lot of possibilities to look awesome.
ReplyDeleteThe realistic pictures, in combination with the completely unique diagonal bordered heading, all converge together to form a really cool authentic poster idea. Awesome creativity here.
ReplyDeleteI really like the last 3 thumbnails because they are so different from what we saw so far. If I had to choose its a toss up between 8 and 10. With your pictures I think it could look really cool so far and if its done correctly could be awesome.
ReplyDeleteThe realistic approach is quite a different take on how most people think of rock paper scissors. I really think that if you go with that idea it has the potential to be really awesome. The thumbnail sketches with the diagonal header really captures the eye and I like your logic behind why you did that.
ReplyDeleteThe idea of all the fighting going on in a boxing ring is very unique. I feel like this could be the image you use at the top of thumbnail 10 if that's what you stick with for your final project.
ReplyDeleteI really liked the gritty approach. It really contrasts the subject.
ReplyDeleteThe realistic graphics and the diagonal header template would be very interesting to see in the finished product.
ReplyDeleteUsing a diagonal header is something that never occurred to me. It's a good idea and I think it could be used in a variety of ways to create a cool-looking poster.
ReplyDeleteReal images is a nice move. 10 is my favorite. It just adds the most eye candy to the thumbnail. im looking forward to seeing the finished product
